Brampton Music Theatre Presents the Arts Alive Festival

Brampton Music Theatre’s tradition of excellence

Brampton’s legacy of artistic development and achievement is one worth celebrating. Brampton Music Theatre (BMT) is proud to have contributed to this legacy, and to announce its next presentation: The Arts Alive festival. This three-day showcase of some of Brampton’s most amazing and acclaimed talent will be held at the Rose Theatre, from August 24th-26th.

The award-winning BMT continues to add to the city’s rich history in arts and culture. Formed in 1963 by local residents dedicated to sharing and growing community talent, BMT has since produced over 100 shows over a period of over 50 years. Still going strong, BMT produces two shows from both its Mainstage and Youth Troupe each year.

Brampton residents have come to expect big things from BMT over the years, and will continue to be amazed during the upcoming Arts Alive festival. After all, BMT’s success would not have been possible without the support of Brampton’s wonderful community, and it looks forward to continuing to make Brampton a destination for music theatre.

Among past Mainstage productions include renditions of classics such as Annie, Les Miserables, My Fair Lady, and The Sound of Music. Theatre-goers can look forward to BMT’s production of Hairspray to be presented later this year.

Arts Alive Festival runs August 24th-26th

The pride and joy of BMT is the Youth Troupe, made up of young performers aged six to 17. The Troupe is a collective that helps kids develop their passions and talents, make friends, and bring out their best on and off the stage. Past Youth Troupe productions include stage renditions of timeless stories such as The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, and Mulan. The Troupe is excited for it’s next presentation, The Lion King, to be held later this year. And to continue to help performers grow and excel, BMT has begun to offer scholarships as of this year.
